Describe the application, substrate and outcome you want to evaluate. Include the current product and process information that your team can share.
Agree the comparison
Identify the existing process as the baseline and agree which conditions will be kept comparable. Decide in advance what observations or measurements will be recorded.
Record the trial conditions
Keep a record of product identity, dosage, relevant process settings and the test method used. Record changes during the trial so the results can be interpreted in context.
Review before wider application
Review the observations against the agreed requirement. A laboratory result does not by itself establish performance in every production setting; discuss suitable follow-up validation with your team.
